Disability Hunt

Since 2001 Badger Mining Corporation has been a company-sponsor of the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR) 9-day disabled gun deer hunt. The season provides opportunities for Class A and Class C permit holders each year to enjoy deer hunting at a time of year in which temperatures are generally milder and mobility in the woods is easier.

BMC originally started the opportunity for Bob Bartol, who is one of our very own.  Bob Bartol is the leader of our transportation department – LogicHaul, LLC and has been with BMC for 23 years.  Bob was an avid hunter prior to being injured in a swimming accident in 1974.  The initial success of the program has quickly expanded, and now includes six hunters at three separate hunting sites for both deer and turkey.

The accompanying photos show some of the successful hunt results.
