Badger Mining Corporation’s C.A. Chier Resource Center was built in Berlin Wisconsin in 1995 and is the corporate headquarters of BMC. The Resource Center houses various corporate teams including Accounting, Administrative, Customer Service, Sales, Information Services, Associate Development, Environmental Health & Safety, Quality-Technical Assurance, and Research & Development. These teams work in conjunction with the various plants and transload locations to ensure our customers receive the highest quality products and services.

The Fairwater Plant located in Fairwater, Wisconsin was established in 1949 under the name of C.A. Chier Sand Company. The Fairwater Plant produces approximately 700,000 tons of high quality industrial sand per year.
The Fairwater Plant primarily serves the foundry industry, with products ranging from 45-120 AFS GFN. Products are produced for hydraulic fracturing, gravel packing, environmental applications, industrial fillers, recreational products, and other speciality applications. The Fairwater Plant is also home to our primary packaging facility.

The Taylor Plant became operational in 1979 and is located near Taylor, Wisconsin. The plant was specifically designed to process hydraulic fracturing and gravel packing sands for the use in the extraction of oil and gas. These sands, due to exceptional purity, shape and strength, are used throughout the world. The Taylor Plant produces approximately 800,000 tons of high-quality industrial sand per year. In addition to hydraulic fracturing and gravel packing sands, the Taylor Plant produces high-quality silica sand for filtration, foundry, filler, recreational and many other specialty applications.
